Our advice process
Our approach to Wealth and Tax management is based on listening. We take time to really understand you, what you’re trying to achieve. We use a structured financial planning process to create your personalised financial plan, which we will review with you at regular time intervals to ensure you feel in control and remain on track to meet your goals.
In our initial meeting we will discuss your circumstances and requirements. We will help you evaluate whether our services are able to meet your needs. We explain our approach to wealth management, our process, the applicable fees, and provide you with a Welcome Pack.
If you decide to proceed, we gather more detailed information on any existing holdings
or policies you may have. We assess your attitude to risk and explain its impact in terms of your investments. We discuss and agree the timeframes for work to be done.
With a clear understanding of your goals and objectives, we analyse your existing arrangements and research solutions from across the market. We use our analysis as the basis of your financial plan.
Wealth and Tax Managment plan
Using the information and our analysis, we present your financial plan. We don’t believe in jargon. We explain our recommendations using plain English and provide you with an opportunity to ask any questions. We will discuss and agree your plan and next steps.
Implementation and review
Once your plan is agreed, we complete the relevant paperwork and liaise with other professionals in order to implement your financial strategy. We confirm how often your plan will be reviewed and establish time frames for future meetings.
The Investment Process
Once we have determined your attitude to risk through the completion of an attitude to risk questionnaire and a discussion around your perception of risk and most importantly “capacity for loss” we will recommend a multi-manager fund.
Multi-manager funds are typically managed by dedicated fund managers and/or specialist teams, who scour the industry and select the managers they expect to deliver the best returns within different asset classes. They also decide on how best to ‘blend’ these managers to achieve optimal returns and actively manage the allocation to different assets as market conditions change. These professional teams continually monitor the performance and activity of the managers held on investors’ behalf to ensure they remain appropriate
Allied Luptons, in turn, monitor and review the individual multi-managers, making sure that what they say they are going to do they actual achieve. We monitor the performance, volatility and charges on the various funds using independent software. We look for funds which achieve consistent above average returns and monitor the level of volatility within the fund and the performance on a quarterly basis
